With a start at Art Center right out of high school and an interest in book illustration, Rita's skills and love for painting draw from an early age. Followed with work in architectural rendering and a successful business painting murals in Southern California, today Rita fuels her passion primarily via plein air painting, including the Telluride Plein Air event for the past 10 years. Rita and her husband live and recreate in the beautiful Ridgway, CO area where she cultivates a great deal of inspiration from the local mountains.
